We’ll also provide suggestions for natural landscape barriers that may inhibit intruders from entering the property. 

Interior Assessment 

This comprehensive assessment of the inside of your home will help you fortify it. Many vulnerabilities within a home can be fixed with simple hardware, such as stronger screws on door hinges or window film to prevent shattering glass. We’ll discuss your daily routines to see if security measures can be improved, such as ensuring all locks are secured and arranging for mail and newspaper pick-up when traveling. We’ll also suggest proper firearm and weapon storage to keep them away from children and other family members but easily accessible when needed. 

 Safe Room Plan Creation

At Firearm Safety and Home Defense, we work with you to designate a place inside your home you’ll go to when emergencies happen based on your home’s design features and security capabilities. We’ll discuss stocking the room with the supplies you need to protect and defend your family, such as a firearm storage locker, a landline phone, necessary medication, and limited food supplies. We’ll also help develop a plan for you to retreat safely into this place if a break-in occurs.
